Recovery balls

With the perfect blend of healthy fats and restorative protein, these recovery balls are the ideal post-workout bite to store in your fridge. After your workout, it is so important to eat high protein foods for your body to recover, especially in the 30-minute window directly after you stop exercising for maximum uptake. Therefore, the fact that these bites are so easy to make in bulk and quickly grab on your way back from the gym, make them the excellent power bite!

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup almonds
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seeds
  • ½ cup coconut flakes
  • 10 soaked dates
  • ½ packet of Purition Macadamia and Vanilla protein powder
Directions:
  • Soak the dates in boiling water while preparing the other ingredients
  • Measure out the nuts, seeds and coconut into the blender
  • Add the protein powder
  • Blend on high until the mixture is evenly ground, not powder but equally coarse
  • Add the dates and blend the mixture again until the mixture is sticky and moldable
  • Form the mixture into bite-size balls
  • Store in the fridge until desired
